debsig-verify software package provides Debian package signature verification tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install debsig-verify
debsig-verify is installed in your system.
Make ensure the debsig-verify package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep debsig-verify *
You will get with debsig-verify package name, version, architecture and description in a table
